The description of the Savior and Repentance is almost portrayed in a horrific manner. It is strange to me why isaiah had such a dark description of the two most glorious and beautiful things or ideas. However, he does have a poetic summary as to what we are to do with this information.
We are told of the Seraphim with 6 wings who covered his face. Obvious to see our Redeemer in such a manner is quite overwhelming. The room filled with smoke...once again another dark image. And how interesting is it that a coal from the alter was placed in the mouth to redeem sin. Not the most bright and happy idea. I wonder if the Atonement was a dark in that walk through gethsemany. It was not a happy and glorious moment when the Lord was pressed with sin until he bled from every pore. And it definately is not an exciting feeling when are in the dark gloom of sin. Maybe not even when we are on our knees pleading with our Father in Heaven for forgiveness. I remember still in that moment aganizing over the guilt in my heart.
But then something glorious happens...... that burden is lifted and something that was so dreary becomes light and peaceful. The fog is lifted and the light shines through. When we experience that forgiving moment on our knees he asks something very import of us. "Whom shall I send and who shall go for us?"

I will be the one to stand up and say, "Here am I, send me"

I will and have gone forth to share this remarkable gift of redemption with my brothers and sisters. And joy comes with that service. May I continue to feel the gloom of sin and the pain of the Atonement so that I might never take that gift for granted. May I remorse always in my transgressions that I may be quick to turn to my Savior in repentance so that it may be lifted from me and that I may be cleansed of iniquity.

Wow....I have never understood Isaiah but in my own way I have received revelation to interpret things the way Heavenly Father wanted me to. This is the way that I will be better at walking through the garden with Him who saved me.
