that just wants to strangle Laman and Lemuel!!!
Is this what you guys were feeling when I was
off in my own little world? Well, thank you for
not strangling me!!!
----------
You see it time and time again throughout the
scriptures. The righteous fall when times get
rough....they forget the Lord, they murmur,
they conspire. Then the Lord reminds them
of whom they serve and they are back on the
path of righteousness. Then times are going
great and what do you know....they become
prideful and they forget the Lord.
----------
The world today is making it easier and
easier to forget the Lord. We do not say
the Pledge of Allegiance in schools anymore
for fear that we may offend someone that does
not believe in God. You can get into trouble
at some workplaces for talking religion
with coworkers because someone may
overhear and be offended.
This is the time that we must stand
stronger than ever....the Lord should
be by our side every step we take.

Read it....tired. Had a crazy day. Going to bed. I will post more tomorrow on my feelings about it ;)
Wilderness, seems like Gods people are always tested by having to roam and seek from the lord the provisions that will give them life in a barren land. The isrealites wandered in the dessert for 40 years and despite the provisions that God miraculously gave them they murmered and complained. They had been led out of the land of eqypt, out from bondage and still were blind and lost in their hearts.
We too are lost and blinded by the world and all that it offers us. So much to do and see and partake of. But like the children of isreal we can be blinded by these things and forget the compassion of the Lord and all He has done for us. We all are living on borrowed time. Our lives are but a candle that is burning out.
May we all be led. Our well will never run dry and our candle will never burn out when we embrace the truth that we journey from this life to the next and this sojourn through the wilderness of this life is to test and try. We are forged in the fire of Gods promise that His Spirit is our guide and if we follow His light we will return to Him from whom we came.
Dad....I am so glad that you posted a comment. I was so excited and read it to daniel. He said, "whoah...he gets really deep!" I said, "I know isn't he an amazing writer?" Dad, I was reminded of your letters you wrote me on my mission and I miss that so much. Keep posting when you can. Sarah, we have been reading but I have not had a working computer all day.
Anyways, I am soo glad that I am not tried in such a way. I don't think that I would survive in the wilderness. I would be with lamen and lemuel crying and whining the whole time. I think that when Nephi and sam hunted the beasts of the forrest I would probably ghag and puke before eating what they had to eat. I like that you said that we are living in a borrowed time dad. That comment could not be more true. The world has so much to offer and the Lord will provide in the most of empty of times and we will "not perish".
Let me say something...."the truth is hard for the wicked". Have you ever been called out on something you were doing wrong. That is hard to swallow. Humility is hard to find when you are faced to recognize weakness and error.
There were a lot of good things in these 2 chapters. Too much to make mention of but I'm glad I don't have to build a boat or be pregnanat and have a baby in the wilderness. Could you imagine if we were all wandering in the woods and one of you had to deliver baby mason out there. NO THANKYOU. I can't imagine what those women went through!!!!
