Enos & Jarom

"And my soul hungered; and I kneeled
down before my maker, and I cried
unto him in mighty prayer..."
------------
Enos had his own personal struggles
which is what led him to kneel
down in prayer to the Lord and
ask for forgiveness. So much
that he prayed all day and into the night.
The Lord answered him saying
"...thy sins are forgiven thee, and thou
shalt be blessed...Because of thy
faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before
heard nor seen...thy faith hath made thee whole."
------------
That wasn't enough for Enos though, he
cared so much for his people, the Nephites
that he prayed for them also. The Lord
answered him again, and still Enos
began to pray again for the Lamanites
this time. The Lord answered him again
" I will grant unto thee according to thy
desires because of they faith."
----------
How many times do we get stuck
in a prayer rut? Where we say
the same repetitive things
over and over again. If we pray
with meaning having full faith in Christ
that he will answer our prayers....
He will answer our prayers!!!
I am going to try and do better....
having more faith and meaning
behind my prayers.

Jarom taught me that in the world

there is a mix of good and evil. I think

that is unavoidable....but we have a great

gift to help us through the temptations

of Satan. We have a modern day prophet

giving us guidance and revelation, specific

to our time and trials we are facing today on

the earth. I think of the Olive tree vineyard

and how the Master and his servant worked

diligently to save this vineyard and to grow

this vineyard. And to me The Master

is our Heavenly Father and his servants are

Jesus Christ and our prophets!!

I need to do better not only at reading my

scriptures, but at reading what the

prophets in our times are writing, because

those are scriptures as well!!!
